FARNSWORTH HOUSE

The seamless transitions between planes and spaces (and their program) is something I hoped to emulate in this project.

Attempts at translating this plan to section and into 3D form was not very successful.

Early attempts were far too flat to of a successful design. I begun to try to create a design that took the essence of the 'Farnsworth House' (being its circulation). A rounded/curvilinear form seemed most apt. But there were significant issues in connecting between spaces while maintaining a comfortably sized space.
